Flip Flop Fever

There is a new twist to an old favorite. We take a flip-flop and dress it up. They're fun, fanciful, and just a little flirty. You don't have to be from Maryland to know what a "Hon"* is.

Created and designed in Baltimore, they are turning up in L.A., New York, Palm Beach, and Boston. Wear them at the beach, shopping, out to dinner, or just walking in the park. We've seen them lounging on the deck, or strolling around the marina. Anyplace you can wear a flip-flop you can wear a Hon Flop...and more!

Each pair is hand-made, custom design. No two are the same. You can choose from the pictures below or tell us your basic color scheme. Place your order and we'll build a pair, send you a picture and if you like it, we'll ship the same day. If you don't, we'll start over. It's up to you. How long will they last? With proper care Hon Flops last as long as a regular flip-flop.

* There's no good definition for "hon" on the internet. If you're reading from further South, she's kind of Baltimore's version of the Sweet Potato Queen, but in stretchy leopard print clothing and with just as much sassiness and spunk (from http://baltimoresnacker.blogspot.com/2007/05/cafe-hon.html)

Traveling into Baltimore city, Dundalk and Essex areas of Maryland the language becomes exaggerated and sometimes unbearable to hear. Elongated words and a twang can shock and disgust most who are not used this form of English. Though most Baltimoreans stand proud and continue using the word. I'm from B-more Hon!
